Our units ship with rubber duck antennas that work great for the majority of our customers. For users who tend to get further off the beaten path, you can enhance cellular signal by using a roof mount antenna. Signals are simply “noise.” Once you get farther from a cell tower, the “voice” of your rubber duck antennas may become a faint “whisper”.
When using a roof mount, this can essentially be like using a megaphone to amplify the volume of your voice so that the cell tower can still communicate. The only downside of using a roof mount antenna? Drilling a hole to mount the antenna and routing cable through your RV. While some RV owners can be handy enough to do this; it is at this point that we tend to recommend engaging with your (or one of our) trusted RV service partners.
